Carbon Footprint & ESG in Vastgoed (Real Estate) hosted by Sirris | Innovation Forward at Château Pironne, Sint-Niklaas, this landmark Belgian event focused on carbon footprint and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in the real estate sector.
The CEO & Founder of Enperas attended to explore carbon and ESG related regulatory challenges and practical applications under current and upcoming 2026 regulations.

Gilles Vanvolsem, Managing Director of the Green Building Council of Belgium, presented "Introduction to Carbon Footprint Regulations" highlighting Belgium’s regulatory complexity across its three regions (Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders) and at the European level. Regional differences are already evident, but progress is being made, particularly on waste management and circular economy initiatives driven by regional governments, through a mix of voluntary and regulatory measures.
Among other topics, the presentation highlighted Belgium’s pioneering role on embodied carbon. The Totem tool, a joint initiative of the three regions since 2011, enables life-cycle assessment using Belgian materials and products, accounting for embodied carbon and offering a broader environmental score that includes biodiversity and social impacts.
The Green Building Council of Belgium brings together stakeholders across the construction and real estate value chain to create a common language, provide clarity, and guide the sector’s transition to a more sustainable future.

We are proud that Enperas customer Aliplast was among the presenters, their representative presented "Aluminium Windows Built for Tomorrow"
