Enperas team members Maria Victória Pereira da Luz, LCA Engineer, and Luc Plancke, CEO & Founder, took part in the REPAM project’s 5th Consortium meeting on 27–28 October 2026.
The meeting was held in Barcelona and Manresa, Spain, and hosted by project partner Eurecat – Technology Centre.
The meeting brought consortium partners together to review project progress, share technical developments, and discuss next steps. Topics included resource-efficient materials, innovative recycling technologies, advanced manufacturing processes, and AI-driven solutions for additive manufacturing. Participants also visited Eurecat’s facilities in Manresa, where they had the opportunity to exchange technical knowledge and strengthen collaboration across the project’s work packages.
During the meeting, Maria presented Enperas’ developments in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modelling for the additive manufacturing of copper, aluminium, and titanium parts. LCA helps assess environmental impacts across a product’s life cycle and supports efforts to make materials and manufacturing processes more sustainable. First result already demonstrates a significant of the environmental impact, 4 to 6 times lower than the conventional approach.
REPAM is an EU-funded Horizon Europe project focused on improving resource efficiency and sustainability in additive manufacturing (AM). The project aims to increase the reuse and recycling of copper, titanium, and aluminium across the value chain, while developing innovative materials and processes. Its work includes designing recycled alloys for additive manufacturing, improving metal-powder production, developing recycling processes, and applying AI to support manufacturing. The 5th Consortium meeting also explores producing metal powder from machine scrap through centrifugal atomisation, a process that breaks molten metal into small droplets.
REPAM brings together 19 partners from 8 countries to help advance a more circular, resource-efficient approach to additive manufacturing.
A big thank you to Eurecat for the warm hospitality and excellent organisation, and to all consortium partners for their valuable contributions and continued collaboration.
REPAM is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme (Grant Agreement No. 101178659).

I am very pleased to have participated in the 5th REPAM Consortium Meeting and to have shared the progress and results of the work carried out so far. During the meeting, I presented the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) work conducted on behalf of ENPERAS, bringing together the findings and insights developed over several months. It was a great opportunity to share our results with the consortium partners and engage in discussions about the environmental implications of transitioning from traditional to additive manufacturing across the copper, titanium, and aluminium value chains. I also particularly enjoyed the laboratory visits at Eurecat, which provided valuable insights into the processes, technologies, and practical aspects of the work being carried out.
It was a great opportunity to better understand our partners' activities and align the work to be carried out over the coming months.
